Welcome to my Musings over a cup of tea
Thank you for stopping by. This blog is everything from Mundane to the Serious and all things in between. Though fiction is my forte (I am leaning towards bite-sized micro-fiction of late), I do dabble in poetry, though I call myself a reluctant poet. I love to share my thoughts on life, philosophy, the English language, and last but not least, give some unsolicited advice. The last comes rather too easily, having been a teacher and a parent and all that, I want to tell my wards and children, I write!

About Me
I am a Bengaluru-based writer and educationist and like all things beginning with a ‘T’ – talking, teaching, tales and tea. I consider myself a late bloomer ..so late that even to date I can say I am only partially unfurled. My articles are mostly on what I want to tell my adult children but don’t dare! On a serious note, I like learning and I do most of them through observation. I also feel that we all are better equipped to handle other people’s problems than our own so I am able to write about varied happenings around me.
I also volunteer at a local hospital and also at a Seva centre that feeds the poor. I take storytelling sessions for underprivileged and try to help them with academics.

Flight or Fright by Sudha Ramnath – A book Review
This is a book that I read almost a month ago, but somehow the review was kept pending. Despite the gap, this book remains fresh in my mind. Rephrasing the book's blurb, this story is about the survival drama when a routine flight from Mumbai to Delhi is hijacked and...
Far From Settled- Flash Fiction

The Pause by Monica Singh- A book Review
This book is a breezy read though there is nothing breezy about this collection of short stories. It remains in our hearts far after the book is done. What I liked: It was one quick and delightful read, and the seven stories in the collection vied with one...
The Sorcery of the Senses by Tanima Das – A book Review
This is just the second book I completed in 2023. My going has been slower this year thanks to my new-found enthusiasm bordering on my obsession with learning crochet! Despite that, I completed this book the fastest after abandoning the other books I was reading. I...
The Blue Bar, A book by Damyanti Biswas – A book Review
Genre: a gritty crime thriller with an added intrigue of romance. Certain books pick up speed, and then you can’t just put them down. It was the case with The Blue Bar by Damyanti Biswas. I liked her first book, You Beneath my Skin, so much so that I...
