The Cross that I Bear

by | Apr 6, 2021 | Poetry | 0 comments

Why can’t I let go;
The feeling of inferiority that I carried
through my school days to now ?

Why can’t I let go;
The sheer disappointment that I saw in your eyes
When you saw my math Marks?

Why can’t I let go;
The hurt, the resentment and anger
That your words caused  me ?

Why can’t I let go;
The feeling of failure
That feels like a cross to bear?

If only I learn to let go.
Instead of having this albatross around my neck
I would judge less,
And be more human, I guess.
